A recent study says that you may not be overweight technically, but if you have belly fat, then you are prone to the risk of death earlier than people without belly fat.

For a study available in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, scientists at the Mayo Clinic collected the ratio of waist to hip and body mass index (BMI) for about 15,000 people. From the study, they found that the death rate of the people who are otherwise healthy but have a ‘muffin-top’ are higher than the people who are obese or overweight.
